UK Grain Lab has been organising meetings of bakers, millers, traders, grain growers, activists, artists and academics to advance an alternative grain economy in the UK since 2017, and more recently supporting a similar network in Ireland. 

Collectively our work will allow farmers to grow and develop resilient crops in a biodiverse landscape as part of a trust-based, human-scale food system.  

We are dedicated to the transition to a more diverse, democratic and decentralised grain economy and focussed on system change; demonstrating an alternative to the industrial "commodity" grain system. 

We exist to support those inspired by our shared vision to grow, demonstrate and imagine the new grain economy.
